Our experience at the State competition was somewhat surreal. It was filled with lots of ups and a few downs, but overall it was a privilege and honor to be there competing against some of the best teams in the country. Our robot performed well, especially during the autonomous period, but unfortunately we hit some bad luck throughout the day. Ultimately, however, we experienced two major highlights that punctuated the 2017-2018 season. One of our team members, Emily Schaeffer, was recognized as one of only 3 Dean's List Finalists from Pennsylvania. These recipients are awarded for their leadership and devotion to their team and the FIRST FTC community. Additionally, our team was the 3rd Place finisher for the THINK Award. This award is designed to recognize the excellence of documenting the team's journey throughout the season. We were honored that our teamwork, diligence, and hard work was noticed at such a prestigious event.
We worked really hard as a team and definitely made huge strides throughout the year. We're eagerly looking forward to the new adventures that God has in place for next year.

We are extremely excited to attend our first ever Pennsylvania State Championship! We hope to see you there! Good luck to all teams.
We had a great time at the Leigh Valley Qualifying Event. It was a great learning experience for the entire team and as a bonus, we had a lot of success! We repeated as THINK Award Winners and INSPIRE Award Runner-up. In addition, we also placed in 2nd for the CONTROL and 3rd for the CONNECT Awards. We also finished regular in 3rd place and had the opportunity to serve as Alliance Captain. It was a really cool day! Our regular regular season has come to a close but we can't wait until we take the field again at STATES in Dallastown! Hope to see you at there! |
