Although our team will not be advancing to the 2020 World Championships, we were extremely excited about our performance at the PA State Championship last weekend. The entire experience was an awesome learning and growing opportunity. Amazingly, we were 4-1 during our qualifying matches and ended regulation in 6th place. The time leading up to the selection ceremony was wild and crazy. Several teams had expressed potential interest in taking us on as alliance partners, but there was also a very real possibility that we would move up into an Alliance Captain position, where we would be responsible for selecting teams to join us. There were a lot of strategic and contingency discussions taking place. Ultimately, we were selected by Cruise Control and Blazin' Circuits to join their Alliance. We won our Divisional Semi-Final match but then lost in the Divisional Finals. A final-four placement at PA States is not too shabby and it topped off a fantastic, memorable FTC season. Looking forward to some other learning opportunities over the spring and summer. We'll see you all in September!
