The Lehigh Valley Qualifier was quite a ride. We began our qualifying matches successfully with two wins. Our newly completed lift system operated flawlessly, and our autonomous proved yet again to be amazing. Unfortunately, we lost our next matches, one of which we were matched against the Robotic Doges. However, to our surprise, we only lost by a four point margin. The match was still a moral victory and gave our team confidence as we headed forward. To our dismay, the final match was another close loss by only 5 points. At the end of regulation, we finished in 14th overall. Going into alliance selection the team was hoping to be selected to round out an amazing day. Thankfully, we were the second pick of the 1st placed team, Sab-BOT-age. Along with Divide-by-Zero we won both of the semifinal matches as well as both of the final matches, ending the day on the winning alliance. With our robot performing extremely well our team felt confident going into the awards ceremony. Although somewhat disappointing, we placed 3rd for the CONNECT, THINK, and INSPIRE awards. While we did not win any awards we were still glad for the chance to get in one more practice run before States. On top of our in-game performance, we had a great time connecting with other teams. Our awesome programming team helped team 9486, the Scigearian Tigers, with programing difficulties and connected with their mentor. Overall the Lehigh Valley Qualifier was an amazing day, and furthered our preparations for STATES.
